Hokuloa United Church of Christ

The Church Covenant is a statement of our pledge to God and each other.

HOKULOA CHURCH COVENANT

We the members of the Hokuloa Church

are united with God and each other,

to become an inclusive community of loving persons,

obedient to the will and word of God

as revealed in the Holy Scriptures

and life of Jesus Christ.

Our common mission

as the Church of Jesus Christ

is to proclaim the good news

of the sovereignty of the one true God to all people.

We also covenant to celebrate our wholeness of life

through worship and the sacraments,

to deepen our faith through study of the Bible

and the discipline of prayer,

to serve the world by promoting justice,

the reign of peace, and to realize the integrity

of loving human relationships

in communities, fellowships, and families.

Depending, as have the faithful in all times and places,

upon the continued guidance of the Holy Spirit to lead us into all truth,

we work and pray for the preservation of God’s created order,

the integrity of human relationships,

the triumph of righteousness,

and the transformation

of the world into the realm of God.
